DESCRIPTION
Biological treatment processes are very important in the treatment of
waste waters. In these processes, waste material are broken down via the
metabolic actions of a variety of microbial species. For optimum metabolism
of organic matter by micro-organisms, several mineral elements are essential.
BACFOOD 200 is specially formulated to provide a balanced microbial
diet by supplementing trace nutrients or micronutrients into biological
treatment processes. BACFOOD 200 fulfils the micronutrient need
in both the aerobic and anaerobic environments.
One of the causes of sludge bulking in biological treatment plant is
due to lack of trace elements and nutrients. BACFOOD 200 promotes
active growth of micro-organisms and supports high levels of treatment
performance in a wide range of operating conditions.

DOSAGE
For most applications a dosage of 2 - 3 mg BACFOOD 200 per 1000mg BOD
is adequate for satisfactory treatment results. However, special treatment conditions
may warrant dosage variation. Please consult your ACCOT representative for the
optimum dosage for your application.
